Junction alternatives

6 Best Junction Alternatives in 2026

Junction, formerly Vital, runs one of the strongest lab-ordering networks in digital health, and its wearables product is actively maintained. But the company now leads with diagnostics. If you want wearable and behavioural signal without the lab stack, the alternatives below are built around that.

What changed, and what did not

Vital rebranded to Junction on 11 March 2025 alongside an $18M Series A led by Creandum. What changed with it was the emphasis. Vital’s homepage led with "One API, all health data" and named wearables before labs. Junction’s leads with "Power Every Diagnostic Touchpoint at Scale", its title tag opens with nationwide lab testing, and there is no product-level navigation item for device connectivity at all. On the current homepage, lab language outnumbers wearable language by roughly twelve to one.

The device count moved too. Junction states 300+ wearables today. Its own Series A announcement from March 2025 still states 500+ wearables and medical devices, and both pages are live. Junction has published no explanation for the difference, and we are not going to invent one.

What did not change is that the wearables product still works and is still maintained. Samsung Health was added in March 2026, the changelog carries entries through July 2026, and their mobile SDK repositories have all been updated within the last two months. Anyone telling you Junction dropped wearables is wrong.

So this is not a page about a product being abandoned. It is a page for teams whose need is behavioural and wearable data, who are looking at a platform increasingly organised around ordering blood tests, and who reasonably want to know what else is out there.

FAQ

Junction alternatives, answered

Has Junction stopped supporting wearables?

No. The wearables product is actively maintained: Samsung Health was added in March 2026, the changelog carries entries through July 2026, and all five mobile SDK repositories have been updated within the last two months. What has changed is prominence, not support. Junction leads with diagnostics on its homepage and has no product-level navigation item for device connectivity.

Why does Junction say 300+ devices when it used to say 500+?

Both figures are live on their own properties. The homepage and documentation state 300+ wearables. The March 2025 Series A announcement still states 500+ wearables and medical devices. Junction has published no explanation for the difference, and we are not going to speculate about one. If device count matters to your decision, ask them for the current list rather than relying on either number.

What does Junction cost?

junction.com publishes no pricing and /pricing returns a 404. The only price Junction points customers at is the Vital-branded page its current documentation still links to for plan eligibility, which lists $0.50 per user per month with a $300 minimum. Treat that as indicative rather than authoritative, since the same page carries compliance badges that are out of date relative to junction.com.

Does Junction do behavioural or mental health scoring?

It computes sleep, recovery, stress, strain and chronotype scores against a 21-day rolling baseline, which is real derived output. But the stress score is physiological, derived from sleep duration and overnight heart rate and HRV rather than psychological state, and no mood, depression or wellbeing construct appears in their documentation. There is also no behavioural archetype or segmentation layer.

What does Junction do better than everything else here?

Lab ordering, and it is not close. A nationwide US network with four collection modalities, CLIA and CAP certified partner labs, requisitions, phlebotomy dispatch and critical-result handling. Nothing else in this list has it. Their query DSL with DataFrame integration and timezone-agnostic aggregation is also genuinely well built.

All Junction information on this page reflects publicly available documentation as of July 2026, linked at the point of each claim. Product details change.
